Getting cosmetic dentistry work usually is not a spur of the moment decision.
You may spend weeks, months – maybe even years thinking about how you’d like to improve your smile, how much it will cost, how long it will take, and…
Wondering if a smile makeover is worth it?!
It can be hard to imagine what the final result will look like, and if it will live up to your expectations. If only there were a way you could preview your smile makeover before starting treatment…
You’re in luck because now you can get a sneak peek at your new smile. How? With an intra-oral preview!
What is an intra-oral preview?
At NorthStar Dentistry for Adults, you don’t have to wonder what your smile makeover will look like – we will show you!
Our Huntersville cosmetic dentist, Dr. John Merrill, now offers an intra-oral preview so you can physically try on your new smile before starting treatment.
This temporary mockup is placed over your teeth right in our office for an immediate, real-life preview. Now this, really takes out all the guesses of what your smile design will look like on you!
Here’s how it works:
- Consultation: First, you will meet with Dr. Merrill to discuss what you like and dislike about your smile, budget, timeline, etc. Using this information, Dr. Merrill will create a custom treatment plan.
- Intra-oral preview: Within just 20 minutes, you will be able to try on your anticipated new smile with custom fabricated composite veneers. Want to request a change? Dr. Merrill can make on-the-spot corrections so you can still visualize your end goal!
- Love it or leave it: An intra-oral preview takes out the “what ifs” to help you make a confident and informed decision about your smile makeover. If you choose to move forward with treatment (it’ll be hard not to after seeing the anticipated result), our team will work with you to find convenient appointment times, provide financial information, answer questions, and more!
A real patient’s intra-oral preview experience
Watch this short video to hear how an intra-oral preview and trial smile helped this real patient of Dr. Merrill:
Katie’s intra-oral preview story
Katie came to Dr. Merrill because she didn’t like the look of her smile after years of wear and tear. Like many people, her teeth became shorter, uneven, and dull with age. She wanted her new smile to be longer, whiter, and more full.
Dr. Merrill performed an intra-oral preview so she could try on her potential new smile. Instantly, Katie noticed differences in not only her smile but her face as well – another benefit of being able to try on your smile vs. preview it or see nothing at all.
Katie said being able to try on her new smile made her “feel like part of the process.” By being able to visualize your finished smile, you get more input on your dental care because you know what to expect – eliminating the fear of surprise!
A different way to think about it:
When you make other big life decisions, such as buying a car or house, you don’t purchase them without usually giving it a test drive or inspection first. Thay way, if you’re unsatisfied, you can walk away risk-free and can keep shopping.
So, why should it be any different with your smile?
